Fort Morgan, CO. 11/09/15. The turkey season is nearly upon us, and soon it’ll be time to deck the halls. To add to the holiday spirit, the MCC Jazz Ensemble is ready with their Winter Concert, scheduled for Sunday, November 22 at 7 p.m. in the Fort Morgan Middle School Auditorium.
The concert led under the direction of Ron Pflug, will feature music of the 1920’s as well as the more traditional Big Band sound. The concert is free and open to the public.
The MCC Jazz Ensemble has achieved local, regional, and national notoriety. The group’s 2009 CD, Home Grown: The Music of Glenn Miller
, has earned play time on radio stations broadcasting in Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Alamosa, and Hawaii. The group has performed live on KUVO Jazz 89, has played by invitation twice at the State Capitol and has been featured in concert series in other cities.
