Fort Morgan, CO. 03/09/17. This year’s MCC Foundation Gala fundraiser grossed an estimated of $60,300, which comprises sponsorships, ticket sales, raffle, and auction items from the event. Forty items went up for bid during the evening including a red-white-and blue themed quilt crafted by MCC employees which was purchased by FMS Bank.
“This was the largest attended Gala yet,” stated Kari Linker, MCC Foundation Director of Development. She reported that over $42,700 will go towards supporting student success and help promote the growth of Morgan Community College.
MCC Past-President Dr. Robert F. and his wife, Janet R. Datteri, were recognized with this year’s Distinguished Donor Award. “The Datteri’s have a long history of supporting not only the College but future students as well,” said Linker.
“I have seen first-hand how coming to MCC can change someone’s life. A student is able to get training and skills, and go directly into the workforce,” shared Dr. Datteri. In addition, nine alumni were presented an award for their contributions.
