Fort Morgan, CO. 05/11/17. The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) has granted a status change to the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Morgan Community College (MCC). The program is now designated as a “Candidate for Accreditation,” which is a pre-accreditation status that indicates the program is progressing toward full accreditation.
“MCC is both excited and proud to be able to offer this new program,” shared PTA Program Director Jeffrey Coon. “Our mission is to educate skillful, knowledgeable, ethical and professional physical therapist assistants that will serve the needs of health care facilities and patients throughout the eastern plains and northern Front Range of Colorado.”
This decision by CAPTE will allow MCC to admit an inaugural class of students to the newly developed PTA program for the fall 2017 semester. Information on the program, including admission requirements, can be found online at www.MorganCC.edu/PTA.
