Fort Morgan, CO. 06/13/17.  Morgan Community College (MCC) announces two new staff members joining MCC beginning on June 19, 2017 at the Fort Morgan campus.

Koreen Myers has been selected as a new full-time Grant Writer for MCC. She taught high school for many years in the Loveland/Thompson School District, but is most recently coming from Washington State. Myers has done professional writing, grant writing, and has conducted training workshops for writing and technology. She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Education, and a Master of Arts in Education Technology and Design.

MCC also welcomes Dr. Misty Stroud, who has been selected as the new Dean of Instruction.  Dr. Stroud comes from Arkansas where she has been the Assistant Dean of General Education at Arkansas State University-Newport. In addition, she has also been a Chemistry adjunct faculty at Pima Community College in Arizona, and the Program Coordinator for Economic Geology at the University of Arizona.  Dr. Stroud has degrees in Geology: a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston, a Master’s Degree from Boston College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida.

“I am excited to have Ms. Myers and Dr. Stroud join the Morgan Community College team,” said MCC President Dr. Curt Freed. “They both have outstanding backgrounds, and share our passion for serving a diverse student body. We look forward to the contributions they will make at MCC and our region.”
