Fort Morgan, CO. 06/29/17. Morgan Community College (MCC) announces Kaleb Bell as the 2017 recipient of the Brad Amack Memorial Scholarship. Following tradition, he was recognized during the annual Brad Amack Memorial Softball Tournament. The scholarship will assist Bell during his next academic year with tuition and fees while completing his general studies at MCC.
“I would like to earn a degree in biology and to eventually be a high school science teacher,” shared Bell. “This scholarship will help me reach my goals by lowering the cost of getting my general studies done and allowing me to be able to afford to go to a top university.”
Now in its 20th year, the softball tournament and auction proceeds benefit the Brad Amack Memorial Scholarship Endowment and fund community events within the City of Brush.
The Brad Amack Memorial Scholarship Endowment through the MCC Foundation has been providing financial support for MCC students since it was established in 1998 by Walter and Donna Amack in memory of their son, Brad. The couple initiated and ran the annual Brad Amack Memorial Softball Tournament in Brush to support the scholarship for several years. Although the organizational part of the tournament is now handled by the City of Brush Recreation Department, the Amacks continue their involvement in the event.
