Press Release

Fort Morgan, CO. 07/13/17. Morgan Community College announces the discontinuation of its Helicopter and Aviation Science Program.

Students currently enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to complete the program requirements by June, 2019. Inquiries should be directed to Kathy Frisbie, MCC’s Vice President of Instruction, who will oversee the curriculum and ensure that students are provided the courses and experiences necessary for graduation.

“The Helicopter and Aviation Science Program is an exciting offering here at MCC. However, as the college continues to evaluate programs and services, we do not believe we have the necessary resources to support the program in the long-term,” said Dr. Curt Freed, MCC President.

The Helicopter and Aviation Science Program is offered in partnership with Colorado Heli-Ops out of Broomfield, Colorado. MCC has appreciated the opportunity to work with Colorado Heli-Ops throughout the inception and delivery of this program, and commends their continued work providing flight training for the region.
