Part-time faculty shall be paid by lecture and lab contact hours.
Procedure
The lecture rate per hour and lab rate per hour may vary between
courses or disciplines. Currently the lecture rate is $20.00 and
the lab rate is $16.00.

This method will also be used to calculate full-time faculty overload
pay.
Affiliate status will not exist under this plan; however it is
possible to develop different levels of rates in subsequent years.
Classes which are held with less than the minimum of six students will
be paid on a pro- rata basis; that is, for five students the rate of pay
would be 5/6 the rate for a full class.
All classes with only one student will be paid at 1/6 the rate for a
full class. All classes with only one student are considered independent
study and must include an independent study contract.
"Hold Harmless" clause -- no instructor will receive less
than the rate of pay (s)he would have received if calculated according
to the previous per credit method -- except in the case of Independent
Study classes.
