Reporting Attendance of Veterans

Policy

The College is required by the Veterans Administration to have a method in place which can determine the last date of attendance for students receiving V.A. educational assistance.  To avoid liability for overpayment made to the students, the College must notify the Veterans Administration within thirty (30) days from the time the student ceases to attend.

The Veterans Coordinators will work closely with the Registrar's office to ensure timely reporting to the Veterans Administration.

 

Tuition Refunds for Military Personnel

Consistent with federal law, students registered for courses who are in the National Guard or in the military reserves shall have the right to receive a tuition and fee refund upon request in the event they are called to active duty as the result of partial or general mobilization. Further, such students who are already on active duty and are deployed by order of the commander in chief shall have the same right. Nothing in this policy would require such a refund if a student wishes to take an incomplete grade.
