MCC Wray Center Hosts Appreciation Night

WRAY, CO. 09/19/14. Morgan Community College (MCC) would like to thank the community for their continued support over the years—and with 11,500 square miles to cover, that’s a lot of communities to thank!

When the Right Stuff Goes Wrong...

Fort Morgan, CO 09/16/14 Morgan Community College Center of Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) will welcome CEO and retired ‘2 Star’ Major General John L. Barry to the Fort Morgan campus on Thursday, October 9 at 7 p.m. Barry will speak first-hand about the 2003 Columbia Space Shuttle accident, and share lessons learned regarding technology, management, and organization.

Japanese Students Visit

Fort Morgan, CO. 09/16/14. Twenty-two years ago, Morgan Community College (MCC) became a sister school to Yamagata Prefectural College of Agriculture (YPCA) located in Shinjo, Japan, and has since welcomed YPCA students each subsequent year in a cultural exchange. This year was no exception; approximately sixty Japanese students visited and toured the Fort Morgan campus earlier this month.

Fort Morgan, CO. 02/24/14.  Morgan Community College (MCC) will recognize six “All Star” Alumni atImage: Sherri Amen this week’s Gala event, hosted by the MCC Foundation. These graduates have “Reached their Summits” as the theme notes for this year’s presentation—and are making a difference in their communities through their professions and leadership.

The recipients of this year’s awards are:

Sherri Amen (pictured right) of Fort Morgan earned an Associate of Arts in 2006 in Early Childhood Education. She is Director of RE-3 School District’s Step By Step Teen Parenting Program.

Bridgette Cumley of Bennett completed her EMS Education training with EMT Basic in 1998, and EMT Intermediate in 2001. She is Battalion Chief at Bennett Fire Protection District, an Adjunct EMS faculty for MCC, and works for The Women’s Imaging Center in Cherry Creek as well.

Kandy Davis of Burlington earned her Associate of Arts in 1995, and is the Principal at Burlington Elementary School.

Jessica Edington of Brush earned an Associate of Arts in 2002. She has been at MCC as a full-time faculty member since the summer of 2008.

Misty Krebs of Limon earned an Associates of Arts in 1999. She is currently a District Manager for Avon and owner of specialty shop Serendipity.

Brittany Staley of Fort Morgan completed her Nursing studies at MCC in 2006. She is the Executive Director at Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan.

Join Morgan Community College and celebrate the success of MCC alumni, and fundraise to support the endeavors of current and future students.
