Quilts Warm Up MCC Campus

Fort Morgan, CO. 11-13-14. Baby its cold outside—but the walls at Morgan Community College (MCC) have been warmed with fifty-four quilts currently on display at the Fort Morgan campus through December 12.

MCC to Host Financial Aid Night

The information sessions will discuss the processes for applying for financial aid, scholarships, as well as work-study opportunities and student loan options.

Dahms-Talton Donation Supports Documentary

Recent donations to the College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) have helped bolster the project, which is being produced by Eden Lane, co-owner of Sleeping Dog Media and host of the PBS series “In Focus.” The College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment is pleased to announce the Dahms-Talton Foundation as the initial title sponsor of the project.

Fort Morgan, CO. 03/20/14.  Morgan Community College's Center for Arts and Community EnrichmentImage: “Untitled,” by Friederike Hewitt, Morgan Community College (CACE) is proud to announce the third annual art exhibition featuring the “Best of the Best” student artwork from Fort Morgan area secondary and post-secondary schools. The exhibit opens Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m. at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, located at 300 Main Street in Fort Morgan.

“We are thrilled that area schools have agreed to take part in this exciting opportunity,” noted CACE Visual Arts Chair Rachel Kellum. Each school will be submitting 5–15 pieces of outstanding student artwork which will be reviewed by a jury of three. All area schools were invited to participate. Selected pieces will be exhibited from Morgan Community College, Fort Morgan High School and Middle School, Wiggins High School and Middle School, Weldon Valley High School and Middle School, and Brush High School from March 28 through May 9, 2014.

Image: “Bowl of Wonder,” by Kelsey Shaver, Fort Morgan Middle School.An opening reception honoring student artists and their families will take place on the evening of Friday, March 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. The public is invited to attend and help celebrate the accomplishments local student artists.                                                                    

The CACE Gallery of Fine Art is open every Friday evening from 4 to 6 p.m., and is often open for visitation during weekday business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the gallery sign is on the sidewalk, it's open!
