New 10-Week Class Options at MCC

Fort Morgan, CO. 02/17/15. Morgan Community College (MCC) has partnered with Cargill to offer a 10- week Basics of Industrial Electricity (EIC 104) training course. The one and a half credit course discusses electricity and includes basic electrical theory, circuit designs, and wiring methods. There are two classes offered: Tuesday afternoons from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday mornings from 8 to 10 a.m.; both begin the first week in March and will be held on the Fort Morgan campus in the new Birch Hall facility. Courses conclude by May 8, 2015.

Three local business owners win $25,000

Fort Morgan, CO. 02/17/15. Not only has the Small Business Partnership Program at Morgan Community College (MCC) furthered economic development in eastern Colorado while stimulating small business growth, it has also provided an educational experience for several business owners.

Fort Morgan, CO. 03/20/14.  Morgan Community College's Center for Arts and Community EnrichmentImage: “Untitled,” by Friederike Hewitt, Morgan Community College (CACE) is proud to announce the third annual art exhibition featuring the “Best of the Best” student artwork from Fort Morgan area secondary and post-secondary schools. The exhibit opens Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m. at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, located at 300 Main Street in Fort Morgan.

“We are thrilled that area schools have agreed to take part in this exciting opportunity,” noted CACE Visual Arts Chair Rachel Kellum. Each school will be submitting 5–15 pieces of outstanding student artwork which will be reviewed by a jury of three. All area schools were invited to participate. Selected pieces will be exhibited from Morgan Community College, Fort Morgan High School and Middle School, Wiggins High School and Middle School, Weldon Valley High School and Middle School, and Brush High School from March 28 through May 9, 2014.

The public is invited to attend and help celebrate the accomplishments local student artists.                                                                    

The CACE Gallery of Fine Art is open every Friday evening from 4 to 6 p.m., and is often open for visitation during weekday business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the gallery sign is on the sidewalk, it's open!
