Fort Morgan, CO. 05/29/14.  The Morgan Community College Foundation is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for students at Morgan Community College (MCC). The Datteri family of Fort Morgan has donated an endowment for student financial aid.

“We are pleased to support Morgan Community College,” says Dr. Robert Datteri. He and his wife, Janet, are long-time advocates of MCC, and know first-hand the struggles of students. As MCC’s second president, Datteri worked with community leaders to not only continue to build MCC, but help secure its future. “This is good for the long run,” adds Janet Datteri.

“The Foundation is excited about the opportunities this will provide for students as they pursue their goals here at MCC,” said Foundation President Alissa Harris. “Robert and Janet Datteri are wonderful community members and this gift is another great example of how committed they are to the success of MCC students.”

The “Datteri Family Endowment” is the third endowment gifted by the Datteri family. In 2004, the “Robert and Janet Datteri Nursing Scholarship Endowment” was established, followed by the “Robert Datteri Presidential Scholarship Endowment” in 2007.

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply. Additional scholarship information can be found online at www.MorganCC.edu, or contact MCC Financial Aid at (970) 542-3100.
