National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week

Morgan County is fortunate to have Adult Education and Family Literacy education offered in two locations through Morgan Community College (MCC). The Career Pathways and Adult Education program, located in Cedar Hall on the east side of the Fort Morgan campus, provides classes for the general community. The MCC/Cargill Workplace Education program provides classes onsite for Cargill employees and their family members.

Rene Heredia and The Flamenco Fantasy Dance Theatre

Fort Morgan, CO 09/16/16. Morgan Community College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) bring the enchantment of Spain, the excitement of genuine gypsy flamenco dance, and live authentic music played by award-winning flamenco master René Heredia.

Japanese Students Visit MCC

Fort Morgan, CO. 09/09/16. In continuing with a 25 year sister-college tradition, last week Morgan Community College (MCC) hosted around 50 students from the Yamagata Prefectural College of Agriculture and Forestry (YPCAF) located in Shinjo, Japan.

Fort Morgan, CO. 11/20/13.  The MCC Platte Valley Band announces their Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the Fort Morgan Middle School Auditorium.

The concert, led under the direction of Charles Morgan, will feature a variety of seasonal favorites such as “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” There will also be a special narration of the 1930’s classic, “The Christmas Story,” by Steve Romero. Additionally, The Lake Street Choir from Baker Central School will perform with the band on select numbers.

Mark your calendars now and plan for a night of holiday cheer. There is no admission charge for the concert and the event is open to the public.

The MCC Platte Valley Band is part of the Morgan Community College music program through the Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE). Participation in the Band is open to any enthusiastic musician without audition. All skill levels are welcome. Please contact Chuck Morgan at (970) 867-6651 if interested. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center, 110 Sherman St., in Fort Morgan.
