Passing score changes: GED updated to match high school standards

Fort Morgan, CO. 04/27/16. Earning a GED just got easier. The company that administers GED testing for many states has lowered the score it takes to pass each subject area from 150 to 145.

Colorado Children’s Chorale Comes to Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan, CO. 04/21/16. Morgan Community College Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) will host a free concert featuring the Colorado Children’s Chorale on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Auditorium at Fort Morgan High School (709 E. Riverview Ave.).

Civics Lesson Gets Political

Fort Morgan, CO. 04-20-16. For the past week the students in MCC’s Workplace Education program at Cargill have been learning about the voting process. The week’s lesson concluded with a presentation from current Delegate to the Colorado State Convention, former Director of MCC Workplace Education, and advocator for Adult Education, Shirley Penn.

Fort Morgan, CO. 02/20/14.  Deciding to go to college is a big step; however, paying for college makes it a reality. Morgan Community College (MCC) will be in the computer lab at Fort Morgan High School on Monday, February 24 and Tuesday, February 25 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. to assist area parents and students in completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To qualify for any financial aid at any college or university, perspective students must complete a FAFSA. Financial aid advisors from MCC will be available to help students complete the form and answer questions.

Additionally, another financial aid information night is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27 in the FMHS auditorium. This session is again open to parents and students to provide basic financial aid information. You do not have to be attending MCC to attend any of these advertised sessions.

Financial aid can be awarded in the form of scholarships, grants, and loans.
