Fort Morgan, CO. 04/01/15. Morgan Community College (MCC) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) announces an Open Mic Poetry Night with a performance by the River City Nomads on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in Bloedorn Lecture Hall at the Fort Morgan campus.

Health Science Simulation Provides Valuable Experience

Fort Morgan, CO. 03/30/15. Earlier this month, the Morgan Community College (MCC) Health Science Division hosted a multi-discipline training exercise focused on emergency response, involving students from the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Radiology Technology, Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Nursing, and Health Science Technology disciplines. Students participated in the exercise as patients, responders, health care providers, bystanders or observers.

MCC Students Qualified For Regional SkillsUSA Competition

Fort Morgan, CO. 03/19/15. Morgan Community College (MCC) students recently competed in the Skills USA District III contest. The areas of competition were Automotive Refinishing, Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, and Welding. Sixteen MCC students qualified to continue to the state competition in April.

Fort Morgan, CO. 11/18/13.  The turkey season is nearly upon us, and soon it’ll be time to deck the halls.Image: The MCC Jazz Ensemble performing live on KUVO Jazz 89. To add to the holiday spirit, the MCC Jazz Ensemble is ready with their Winter Concert, scheduled for Sunday, December 1 at 7 p.m. in the Fort Morgan Middle School Auditorium.

The concert, led under the direction of Ron Pflug, will feature performances by both the Big Band and the Ragtime Orchestra. The concert is free and open to the public.

The MCC Jazz Ensemble has achieved local, regional, and national notoriety. The group’s 2009 CD, Home Grown: The Music of Glenn Miller, has earned play time on radio stations broadcasting in Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Alamosa, and Hawaii. The group performed live on KUVO Jazz 89 and has played by invitation twice at the State Capitol.
