EMS Training at MCC

Fort Morgan, CO. 08/27/14. Morgan Community College Emergency Medical Services program offers Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses each fall and spring semester. September 5 is the last day students can enroll in this program for this semester.

MCC Limon Center serves it up

To express their gratitude, the MCC Centers will host MCC appreciation nights and will distribute “Roadrunner Bucks” at various local events. The “bucks” have a $2.00 value and are redeemable at the events’ concession stands.

Wray, CO. 04/13/12.  Morgan Community College (MCC) has three separate, one-day classes on a variety of topics being offered at the MCC Wray Center, located at 32415 Highway 34.

“CPR for Professionals” will be taught by Julie Rus, and is designed for those who work in health care or emergency services. The class will be on Tuesday, May 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MCC Wray Center. The cost for the course is $67.66, which does not include the textbook.

“Women’s Self Defense” will be offered on Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The course will be led by Todd Combs, a Krav Magra Defensive Tactics instructor and Colorado State Patrol Trooper. Attendees will practice in a safe environment; learn situational awareness, common threats & defensive techniques. The cost is $30.00, and does not include lunch.

“Cattle Hoof Health” is a hands-on workshop that will teach you the basics of caring for cattle hooves—including learning the anatomy, health, and trimming techniques. Professional hoof trimmer, Jim Smith will conduct the workshop on Monday, June 11 beginning at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Students are required to wear safety glasses and ear plugs, which are available to be borrowed from MCC. The cost is $30.00 and includes course materials.
