National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week

Morgan County is fortunate to have Adult Education and Family Literacy education offered in two locations through Morgan Community College (MCC). The Career Pathways and Adult Education program, located in Cedar Hall on the east side of the Fort Morgan campus, provides classes for the general community. The MCC/Cargill Workplace Education program provides classes onsite for Cargill employees and their family members.

Fort Morgan, CO 09/16/16. Morgan Community College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) bring the enchantment of Spain, the excitement of genuine gypsy flamenco dance, and live authentic music played by award-winning flamenco master René Heredia.

Japanese Students Visit MCC

Fort Morgan, CO. 09/09/16. In continuing with a 25 year sister-college tradition, last week Morgan Community College (MCC) hosted around 50 students from the Yamagata Prefectural College of Agriculture and Forestry (YPCAF) located in Shinjo, Japan.

Fort Morgan, CO. 5/16/12.  The Hector Varela Community Garden at Morgan Community College will be planting squash, watermelon, tomatoes, and lots more on Saturday, May 19 beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

The Garden is located on the east side of the Fort Morgan campus. Participation is voluntary; those whom help with the planting reap from the harvest.

Both tomato and pepper plants were purchased from the Wiggins’ Future Farmers of America. Thank you for your support.
