Massage therapySeventy-two students from Morgan Community College (MCC) volunteered this fall at the Colorado Mission of Mercy (CoMOM) event. First year nursing students, including Whitney Peterson, Alicia Flinn, and Lori Coakley, were excited to work with patients; seeing firsthand the difference proper medical care can make in someone’s life. The women worked in Triage, screening patients prior to dental work; gaining hands on experience and required clinical hours for graduation. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) students Lucia Camacho and Stephanie Cisneros, among others, volunteered behind the scenes and were “ready to assist if needed.”
