Current students enrolled at Morgan Community College (MCC) this semester are eligible for a new grant. The Spring II Grant offers $82.00 per credit hour for Spring II courses—both on campus and online. This equates to less than $25 per credit hour for a class on campus and $105.15 for those online. The Spring II semester offers ten and eight week courses that begin in the next few weeks. "With this grant, students will be able to complete a course online for the cost of a regular class on campus," noted MCC Vice President of Student Success Kent Bauer. It was of no surprise that when surveyed, students responded that more financial aid would motivate them to register for more courses, said Bauer. "MCC was able to create this one-time grant to help met the needs of our students," added College President Dr. Kerry Hart. According to Student Services, the Fort Morgan campus has 34 classes offered for the Spring II semester, plus numerous online classes made available through Colorado Community College Online program (CCCOnline). Applications for the Grant as well as registration can be completed at www.MorganCC.edu, or by visiting Student Services on campus. |
