Crystal Meza
Med Prep classes were Crystal Meza's introduction to a healthcare career. She gives her instructor Kim Ewertz lots of credit for realizing her potential and giving her a second chance to succeed. Crystal is the first in her family of six girls to go to college although she is the youngest. She says that her decision of becoming a physical therapist assistant was a good fit for her. Sunset Manor interim director of nursing agreed and spoke highly of Crystal and her professionalism. She explained, "Crystal is one step ahead of everything we do, and it is noticed at every level and appreciated."

Modalities are Crystal's favorite part of her PTA practice because she can see immediate results from the use of ultrasound, e-stimulation, and diathermy therapies. Speaking of results, one of Crystal's most satisfying experiences was rehabilitating a stroke patient who learned to walk and speak again and do common tasks like tying her shoes.

Crystal loves her job and is grateful for the opportunity she had to go to PTA school. Her success
and independence allowed her to buy a car and become a first-time home owner. What more could she and her two big labs ask for?
