UPDATES

MCC AQIP Project #1: Creative Connections

The chair of this committee is Jeff Jones. A search for a co-chair is taking place presently.

MCC AQIP Project #2: Enrollment Management

This team is actively involved in their project. They have most recently rewritten the goals of the Enrollment Management action project to best reflect MCC needs and AQIP values. At their last meeting, the team worked on specific procedures to increase retention and recruitment:

  1. Create a supportive college environment for students by offering information, services and activities that bring together the diverse facets of the Morgan Community College community in the enrollment management processes. (Collect needed data to determine what students use, what they need, and how it works for them)
  2. Educate the College community for understanding of the bridge opportunities provided for successful integration of prospective students with attention to at risk students (TRIO, ABE, ESL, CAMP, and Student Services).  Determine the effectiveness of the current processes based on identifying and tracking students who are currently served, tracking their progress through goal completion.
  3. Identify the current partnerships that the College has with community-based organizations, businesses, and governmental agencies throughout the  college’s service area.  Develop strategies that increase visibility and enhance these working relationships and foster new partnerships.

MCC AQIP Project #3: Data Collection and Sharing

The team is still on schedule with the data collection process. Team members will come to visit the the folks who have not filled out the survey and help them with the process. All surveys should be filled out by June 30. The Data Team will reconvene in August after faculty return from their summer break to review the data that has been collected and to begin preparing a report for the AQIPPortfolio Writing Team. Our report to the Writing Team is due September 1st.  Also at the August meeting, the team will discussion compiling a "master list of data reports" in use at MCC that can be distributed to staff as a means of identifying what reports others would like to receive. The next meeting will be scheduled in August during faculty workdays for 12:00 in Aspen 203.
