What is AQIP?
AQIP, the Academic Quality Improvement Program, is a system of reaccreditation for member colleges that are dynamic institutions actively engaged in organizational improvement.  AQIP combines institutional self-assessment with selected improvement initiatives known as Action Projects.

Where are we in the process? 
We are currently about two-thirds of the way through our first AQIP cycle.  We completed our Systems Portfolio in May, 2007 and just received our Systems Appraisal Feedback Report.

What’s next?
Following the Systems Appraisal, MCC can expect a site visit from AQIP.  ]

Meanwhile, we have already begun  working on our second set of Action Projects, which were formulated in Spring of 2007:  Institutional Assessment; Optimizing Institutional Effectiveness through Communication; and Creative Solutions to Rural Needs.  

MCC also plans to send a team to an AQIP Strategy Forum in Spring 2008.
