Classroom observation

Are you thinking of teaching as a career option?  A great way to be introduced to the teaching environment is to observe various teachers in action.  Not only will you become familiar with the day to day activities, but classroom observation also allows for a better understanding of the different age groups.

Conferences

Conference and networking opportunities are available by attending the various teacher conferences around the state of Colorado.  Teachers and administrators from around the state attend these conferences and attendance will facilitate a great opportunity for you to meet your future employers and coworker before the interviewing process.

Guest lectures and panels

On occasion FTC will bring in individuals to discussion topics such as transferring to other institutions, the latest on teacher certification and other issues surrounding teacher education.  A panel of teachers ranging from kindergarten teachers to college level instructors has been assembled in previous years to present information on: why they choose the grade level they are currently teaching, how does course curriculum get decided, along with other information.
