Jay Stretcher joined the staff of Morgan Community College in the Fall
of 2001. He is a full-time instructor in the Ag and Business Management
Department.
Jay graduated from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in 1985, with a
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Upon graduating he began working for a
farmer/rancher in western Kansas. In 1986 he returned to FSHU and obtained a
Bachelor of Science in Business with certification endorsements for teaching
business and computer courses in 1989. Currently he owns and operates 560 acres
of farm ground in western Kansas.
Prior to coming to Morgan Community College Jay was a Credit Counselor
and Branch Manager at Consumer Credit Counseling Service for ten years. His
most recent work experience includes working as a night manager at Tire and
Lube Express at Wal-Mart.
Jay and his wife Sheila have two daughters, Kayla and Kelsey. The
Stretchers are actively involved in community, church, and school activities.
Jay has been a Kid's Church instructor for eight years and a Sunday School
teacher for two years. He has also volunteered to be a room parent in his
daughter's classes. In his spare time, Jay enjoys winter sports and Denver
Broncos Football.
One of the strengths Jay brings to the classroom is the joy of helping
others.
