Hi! Welcome to the
MCC Associate Degree Nursing Program. I am proud to have been a
part of the beginning of the Nursing Program in 1991-1996 and returned in
the Fall of 2003. Exciting things are happening in the nursing
program.....
About me ....I earned my A.S. in nursing in 1985 from Mesa
College and earned a B.S. (1987) and M.S. (1991) in nursing from
the University of Northern Colorado. I have worked in almost every area of
nursing and love the education part of nursing because I can stay updated
on all areas of nursing. I also love to watch the nursing student
grow to be a competent, confident nurse!
My teaching philosophy...I look
forward to our time together....I encourage you to be actively engaged in
your learning by bringing to our nursing education your own interests and
skills, to take both intellectual and creative risks, to be actively
engaged with me and the other students in these courses to create a
classroom and clinical environment that promotes respect and meaningful
dialogue and trust, and to keep in mind that what you gain from these
courses depends on your effort and involvement. My role is facilitator,
encourager, guide and cheerleader.
