Cameron Armagost, Treasurer– Bank of Colorado, Branch President
Cameron Armagost is the current Branch President for Bank of Colorado, Fort Morgan. Cameron joined Bank of Colorado in April 2011 serving as the Vice President of Lending in the Eaton location, became Bank President in Fort Morgan in 2013 and has been in the banking Industry since 2006. Currently, he is the President of the Fort Morgan Lions Club, a member of the CPMC Foundation Board of Directors and is a new Board member to the Morgan Community College Foundation. Cameron enjoys being involved in the community, and helping others. He joined the MCC Foundation board because he is a big believer in the community college system, it helped him attend school at an affordable rate his first 2 years. Also, he believes in giving back to the youth (future) of our communities. Cameron holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Northern Colorado. His hobbies include: being outdoors, boating, hunting, being with family and friends.
Rachel Brownlee, Director– Human Resources, Cargill
Rachel Brownlee began her career in Human Resources with Cargill immediately after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She has held multiple positions in Human Resources and recently moved into Continuous Improvement in which she works to drive results from the business’ strategic initiatives. Rachel has a passion around developing talent at work and making the communities in which she lives and works a better place to live. In her time with Cargill, she has had the unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals that make Morgan County great through education, communication and partnerships. She believes that each community member has a responsibility to make Morgan County better not only for current residents but for future generations. Rachel and her husband Dustin enjoy spending time with their new daughter Kennady and exploring all that the state of Colorado has to offer such as hiking, skiing and running.
Robert (Bo) Chapin, Co-Vice President – City Attorney, City of Brush, CO
Bo Chapin has been a member of the MCC Foundation board of directors since Feb 2014. In Brush, he has practiced general law since March 1975 and has been city attorney of Brush since 1982. He has been president and other officers of Brush Area Chamber of Commerce, Brush Rodeo Association, and Rotary Club of Brush. He currently serves as member of the boards of directors of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center and its Foundation, and United Way of Morgan County. He has been married to Sandy Chapin since 1977 and has a son and two grandchildren. He has two sisters who live in the San Francisco Bay area.
Dr. Curt Freed, Ex-Officio Director – President – Morgan Community College
Dr. Curt Freed has worked in a community college setting since 1994. His experience includes serving as tenured faculty member teaching human services, dean for career and workforce development, dean for health sciences, and Vice President for Instruction at Columbia Basin College and Whatcom Community College in Washington State. He became the ninth president of Morgan Community College in Fort Morgan, Colorado in April 2017. Dr. Freed has served on various workforce, economic development, and healthcare boards during his tenure in the community college setting.
Dr. Freed holds a B.S. in Psychology, a M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. Dr. Freed’s research is on the role of emotional intelligence in community college leaders. He stresses the importance of relationships and compassion for others throughout his work. Dr. Freed believes that success comes from the ability to help the college and community feel well-cared for in an environment that promotes diversity, equity, and growth of others.
Alissa Harris, President – Harris Financial Network
Alissa Harris currently serves as the President for the Morgan Community College (MCC) Foundation Board of Directors. Alissa owns and manages Harris Financial Network, a locally based financial advising firm where she is the Executive Director and Financial Advisor. Her journey in the Retirement Planning Industry started after graduating from the University of Nebraska Lincoln by joining the family insurance agency in Grand Island, NE. Shortly after, she branched off to create Axford Tax Advisory Group (ATAG). In 2010 she and her growing family moved to Fort Morgan where she and her husband Doni have enjoyed raising their two children. Alissa has served as the MCC Foundation President for the past four years.
Carrie Mobley, Director – Director of Marketing and Client Relations, FMS Bank
Carrie Mobley currently works as a Personal Banker at FMS Bank. She has been with the bank for 10 years where she continues to develop marketing ideas, develop customer relationships, and educate customers and staff on internet banking, bill pay and new products. Carrie has been involved with several local organizations including Morgan Community College Foundation Board, Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Hyperion Club. She has volunteered with The Alzheimer’s Association, The Boy Scouts, Ag Appreciation Days and Relay for Life. She supports The National MS Society, JDRF, and Fund The Fight. Carrie was born in Grand Junction Colorado and raised in Wyoming and California. She has resided in Fort Morgan since 1999 with her husband Kerry and their two children.
Karen Rebol, Director – Teacher (Retired)
Karen Rebol is a lifelong teacher and learner. A retired educator, she served 25 years in the Fort Morgan School District at a variety of grade levels. Her commitment to education motivated her to serve on the MCC Foundation Board. She believes the Foundation’s work is important because it creates opportunities for students that help them reach their full potential. She now teaches yoga, senior fitness classes, enjoys traveling and spending time with her three grown children, as well as her parents. She loves learning and explores new opportunities every chance she gets.
Robert “Bob” Sachs, Director – Principal (Retired)
Bob Sachs is a retired educator who spent the last seventeen years of his career as a high school principal in the Wiggins School District. During his tenure as principal, he served on the Colorado High School Activities Board of Control, the CHSAA State Wrestling committee and was a presenter for new principal orientations for the Colorado Department of Education. For the past eight years, Bob has served on the MCC Advisory committee. Prior to his career in education, Bob served in the U.S. Army as a heavy equipment operator from 1969 to 1971 and was deployed for one year in Vietnam. Bob was born and raised in Farmingdale, New York and moved to Brush, Colorado as a teenager.
LeeAnn Samuels, Director – Realtor, Gateway Realty – Fort Morgan
Lee Ann Samuels is a Real Estate Broker Associate with Colorado Land Co. Lee Ann has 20 years of experience in the Real Estate industry. She has earned many awards from Loveland/Berthoud Association of Realtors such as; 1999 Presidential Award and Past Vice Principle. She also has been a past board member of the Morgan County Board Realtors, a member of the Morgan Community College Foundation Board for 6 years and a member of the Greeley Board of Realtors. Lee Ann is also a volunteer with the Senior Centers in Fort Morgan and Brush delivering meals-on-wheels. Lee Ann was raised in Fort Morgan Co. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1975. Lee Ann and her husband, Steve Samuels, live in Brush, Colorado.
Brenda Shelton, Co-Vice President – Director of Business Development, Colorado Plains Medical Center
Brenda Shelton is Director of Provider Relations and Industry, Business Development, Recruitment and Compliance Officer. Mrs. Shelton joined CPMC in May 1991 serving as the Director of HIM and in March 2011 accepted the role as Director of Business Development. Currently, she is a member of the Senior Executive Council, Director of Provider Relations and Industry, Recruitment, Director of Specialty Clinic and the Compliance Officer. As a member of the SEC, Mrs. Shelton provides direction in the area of strategic management, medical staff communications, retail and employer relations and regulatory compliance. Mrs. Shelton also serves as a member of the LifePoint Health PRI Council, the Vice President of Morgan Community College Foundation, HIM Consultant and many other community organizations. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Medical Record Administration from Carroll College and she is a Registered Health Information Administrator.
Brittany Staley, Director – Executive Director, Valley View Villa
Brittany Staley has been the Executive Director at Valley View Villa for the last 7 years and was the Director of Nursing for 1 year prior to that. She began her healthcare career at CPMC as an emergency room Registered Nurse. She was also a clinical instructor for Northeastern Junior College from 2006-2008. Brittany is passionate about healthcare, and from a young age, always knew she wanted to help people and care for others. She enjoys making positive change and difference is people’s lives everyday and serving the community in which she lives.
Brittany graduated from MCC with an Associate Nursing Degree in 2006. She then obtained her Nursing Home Administrators License in 2011. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her three children and husband.
Dr. Robert Thiel, Director – Physician (Retired)
Robert Thiel retired from the practice of medicine this year after 44 years of service. He received his medical degree in 1971 from the University of Minnesota and was accredited in both Family Practice and Pediatrics. He had practiced in Fort Morgan, for 24 years where he currently resides. Rob has served on the MCC Foundation Board of Directors since 2013.
Monty Thomas, Director – Owner, TnT Land Solutions, LLC
Monty A. Thomas is the owner of TnT Land Solutions, LLC, an agricultural products sales and service business, and owner/partner in Arrow Realty and Management, a real estate sales and management firm. He previously spent 17 years as the general manager of the John Deere farm equipment dealerships in Fort Morgan and Akron, Colorado, for 21st Century Equipment (formerly known as Kay Jan, Inc.). Prior to moving to Colorado, he spent 11 years with Clermont, Inc., a manufacturer of fruit juice concentrate products with operations in Hillsboro, Oregon, and Clermont, New York, most recently as national sales manager.
Mr. Thomas served two terms on the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation, including one year as president. He has also been a past member of the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce, chairing the agriculture committee for several years. He very recently completed 9 years on the Board of Directors for Morgan Federal Bank.
Monty and his wife Diane are both Colorado natives, and have lived in Morgan County for the past 23 years. They have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. Monty wanted an opportunity to contribute back to the community, and is delighted to be able to serve on the MCC Foundation Board.
