AG and BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Student enrolled in Ag and Business Management program

FORT MORGAN STATE BANK/DELMER P. KEATING SCHOLARSHIP

  • Major in Business
  • Financial Need
  • Selected by the Dean of the College
GOETZ FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
  • Must reside in Morgan County for at least 1 year prior to applying
  • Must be a graduate from a high school in Morgan County
  • Must indicate an emphasis to pursue an AA degree in business.
  • Must provide a personal interview at the discretion of Selection Committee. Selection Committee is comprised of 1 designated faculty member from MCC, and the following family members: Barbara Keenan MA; Gina Keenan-Heepke BA, CPCU; Dr. Alexandera Breneman MA, Aud.; and Kathryn Goetz Hoskins MS.
  • Award constitutes:
    • An annual scholarship which shall consist of
      • tuition and fees for 2 semesters;
      • $500 annual allowance for books;
      • up to $100 per month cash for personal expenses for 9 months.
  • In 2009 and successive years, two annual scholarships consisting of tuition and fees for two semesters will be awarded. One of these scholarships shall be reserved for an existing recipient to continue his/her second year, assuming he/she maintains a 2.5 grade point average in the first two semesters.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

MORGAN COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Sponsored by the Morgan County Early Childhood Education Center

  • Seeking a profession in early childhood education. This includes Family Childcare, Center Director, Group Leader, aide, or Preschool teacher.
  • Requires current employment in a licensed daycare or two years verifiable full time work in an early childhood care facility.
  • Award is equal to 80 percent of tuition, books, and fees.
  • Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
GENERAL

CARGILL MEAT SOLUTIONS

  • Awards are made to one freshman & one sophomore student.
  • Preference is given to Cargill Meat solutions employees, their spouses and children.
  • 2.5 GPA or better with consideration of employment, outside activities and volunteerism.
JEFF AND MARTHA BIEBER SCHOLARSHIP
  • Granted as need determined by the Foundation Board and the College
  • Two $1000 scholarships per year for 6 years beginning 2009-2010 academic year
ROBERT DATTERI PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP
  • Based on MCC President's discretion
  • Encourages Enrollment
  • Supports Program Development
  • Assists students in costs of specialized training
  • $1,000 per year to be divided among a group of students taking a specialized program/class as identified by the MCC President/Management Leadership Team.
GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP
  • For all students
  • No specific grade point specified
  • Awards based on total point accumulation from judging of scholarship application, grades, reference letter, etc.

PAT JOLLIFFE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • This $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving MCC student

FOILES FAMILY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • For unseen circumstances that occur in relationship to student's education while enrolled at Morgan Community College
  • Application is made through the MCC Special Consideration Scholarship form found on the MCC web page. (This form includes the GPA{this can be verified y the financial aid department} and the written reason for requesting the scholarship.) A faculty/staff recommendation endorsing the student and the need shall accompany the application.
  • Awarding of the scholarship will be under the supervision of the Director of Development with the assistance of the Director of Financial Aid.
HEALTH/NURSING

COLORADO PLAINS MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY

  • Focused on a career in the medical profession
  • High school or college GPA of 2.5 or higher or a GED score of 1250
  • Financial Need

ROBERT F. & JANET R. DATTERI NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Accepted into the MCC Nursing Program
  • Based on financial need
  • Selected by the Foundation Scholarship Committee

GRAMLICH NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

  • Student accepted for admission to the MCC LPN and/or RN program
  • Demonstrates financial need
  • Resident of the MCC catchment area
  • Scholarship is renewable providing the following requirements are met
  • Continued enrollment in MCC LPN or RN programs
  • Enrolled in minimum of 6 hours per semester
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5

KATHLEEN LYONS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Limon Center Student
  • Seeking a Nursing Degree
  • Financial assistance with books
  • Two per semester
  • Selected by the Limon Center

JUNE MARIE SCARINZI SCHOLARSHIP

  • For students pursuing and enrolled in the nursing program of MCC at the Limon Center.
  • Pays expenses for tuition, books and fees
  • Pays for personal expenses of students, the need for which to be determined by the Limon Campus Center Director.

WILLIAMS FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • Number of and dollar amount of scholarship each year will be dependent on income that year and is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee (History shows 2 scholarships $2,000 each)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA or proven ability to succeed at the collegiate level
  • Enrolled full-time in one of the health related fields offered by MCC
  • Renewable for a second year
  • Available to all except Morgan County high school graduates who are eligible to apply for a Williams Family Scholarship through their respective high schools.
  • Applicant should desire to remain in NE Colorado after graduation
NEED-BASED

BRAD AMACK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • 2.5 grade average or higher
  • Financial need
  • Full time student
  • Attends one of the centers in the MCC area

INGMIRE-PHILLIPS SCHOLARSHIP

  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Based on Need
  • Selected by Dean of College
NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS

E. EARL FRANKS SCHOLARSHIP

  • Financial need
  • Full-time or part-time student
  • 21 years of age or older - non traditional
  • First preference is a student living within Morgan County
  • Second preference is a student living within the MCC service area
  • Enroll in minimum of 6 hours

REX & DORIS MONAHAN SECOND CHANCE SCHOLARSHIP

  • Several $500 awards
  • Single parent
  • Non-traditional age

THE REGINA QUARLES SCHOLARSHIP FUND

  • Preference given to Hispanic non-traditional students
  • Transfer student from ABE
  • Studying in one of the health or nursing programs
BURLINGTON CENTER

HELPING HAND SCHOLARSHIP

  • Burlington Center student tuition up to six credit hours
  • 2.5 GPA or better of 3000 GED test score or
  • 2.6 GPA at MCC
  • Enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours
  • Renewable for a 3.0 or better GPA

JOB SKILLS SCHOLARSHIP

  • Tuition up to 3 credit hours
  • Colorado Resident
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Permanent part or full-time job

BURLINGTON GREATER GIFTS

  • Full-time tuition, books, and fees to a full time Burlington Center student
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Colorado Resident
  • Seeking higher education degree
  • Renewable if academic and enrollment standards are met

HARROLD McARTHUR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Kit Carson County resident
