Fort Morgan, CO. 01/16/13. Morgan Community College (MCC) Burlington Center is now registering students for the spring semester. 15-week classes begin on Monday, January 21. Below is a small sampling of the variety of courses and programs offered at MCC.
“Public Speaking” (COM 115) combines the basic theory of speech communication with public speech performance skills. This class will be taught by Staci Daniel, and is offered on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) courses, taught by Kimberly Collins, are designed for those pursuing careers in the field of child development, childcare, or teaching. Talk to an MCC advisor about course requirements and certifications available.
Nurse Aide classes begin on February 4, and are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with clinicals to be announced. Students enrolled in this program will prepare for work in acute care and long term care facilities as a Nurse Aide, where they will perform duties related to personal patient care. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to apply to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program certification exams. The MCC Burlington Center is pleased to announce the addition of a tutoring center, made possible through State performance incentive funding awarded to Morgan Community College. Tutoring will be available on Tuesdays from Noon to 4:00 p.m., and is subject to change.
