To apply for federal and state aid, complete the following:
1. Apply for a U.S. Dept. of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN) at www.pin.ed.gov. Please note: If you are a dependent student, one of your parents will also need to apply for a PIN.
2. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Note: If you wish to file your FAFSA online and do not have a PIN, you can print a signature page, complete it and mail it in to be matched up with your electronic FAFSA submission. Please allow an additional 2-3 weeks for processing.

Eligibility
Students must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need. (Some loan/scholarship programs are exempt.)
- Demonstrate that you are qualified to enroll in the postsecondary education by completion of one of the following:
- High school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate
- Minimum scores on Ability to Benefit (ATB) test
- Completion of a high school education in a home school setting approved under state law
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student working toward a degree or certificate in an eligible program.
- Be a citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Have a valid Social Security Number.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
- Certify that you will use federal student aid only for educational purposes and certify that you are not in default on a federal student loan and do not owe money on a federal student grant.
- Comply with Selective Service registration, if required.
