Bennett Center

Since 1985, the Bennett Center has developed into a student-centered learning community under the direction of Nancy Barden. Located at 280 Colfax Ave. in Bennet, the Center provides college classes in the Bennett, Byers, Strasburg, and Deer Trail area for qualified high school students and adults wishing to earn associate of arts or associate of science degrees.

High schools along the I-70 corridor benefit from Bennett Center college courses. An extraordinary number of high school students complete 30 college credits while they are in high school and qualify for Sophomore Scholar status. The Bennett Vnetwork connects schools at Agate, Bennett, Byers, Deer Trail, and Strasburg for interactive telecourses.

Since the inception of the innovative Sophomore Scholar Program the Bennett Center boasts 170 graduates with more on the horizon. Non-traditional learners experience exciting classroom challenges in a positive learning environment.

Agriculture and Business Management courses are also offered by MCC instructors in the Bennett area who provide instruction in the classroom and onsite at your farm or business.

Morgan Community College is the center for Emergency Medical Services training in Eastern Colorado. MCC’s EMS program provides training for those wishing to enter the emergency medical field and continuing education for those already certified. Because MCC serves a very large, sparsely populated region of Northeastern Colorado and our students are busy people with families and jobs, we’ve added a new Guided Study program that allows great flexibility in where and how you take MCC classes.
