  • Advisory Council Retreatmembers will be meeting in July in order to make plans for the next year's goals and workshops.
  • Health Navigator Networking Luncheons—these monthly meetings are co-sponsored by OneMorgan County, Rural Solutions, Morgan County Family Center and Rural Communities Resource Center. Speakers from across the state share information about different health programs, topics and resources each month.

  • Next Luncheon Wednesday, September 17 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Morgan Community College’s Founders Room. Topic to be announced.

  • Workshops for Immigrants and Refugeesmonthly workshops scheduled. Topics addressed include: health care system, immigration, education, law enforcement & driving information, human services and employment.

  • International Festivala celebration of the many cultures that are represented in Morgan County and that enrich this community. There was international food, music and performances, including a cultural fashion show. Committee members hope to make this an annual event.
  • Documentary Series on Immigrants—OneMorgan County and the Fort Morgan Public Library offered five documentaries about the experiences of newcomers in America last fall at the Library / Community Room. This series explored different cultures of people who are immigrating to America. A discussion was offered after each presentation, for those who were interested.
    Now Available All DVDs from this series are now available to check out at the Fort Morgan Public Library

  • A 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training for immigrants and refugees to professionalize their interpretation skills.
  • Community Informational Forum about refugees and the Somali culture, customs and religion.
  • Meeting with Local Landlords and Realtors to discuss issues relating to renting to immigrants and refugees.
  • Meeting with county health care providers to discuss refugee health.
  • Workshop for refugees about housing.
  • Presentation for immigrants & refugees about community resources.
  • Presentation for immigrants & refugees about summer activities for children and youth.
