OneMorgan County: Immigrant & Refugee Family Education Project

presentation This is a new subproject of OneMorgan County! The project aims to integrate immigrant and refugee students and their parents into the school and college system by:
  • Increasing immigrant and refugee parental involvement in children’s education
  • Removing barriers to academic achievement and involvement in after-school activities
  • Facilitating communication between school officials and students and their parents
  • Increasing immigrant and minority students’ sense of belonging in their schools
  • Increasing awareness of different cultures represented at schools and highlighting cultural similarities
