OneMorgan County: Immigrant & Refugee Family Education Project
This is a new subproject of OneMorgan County! The project aims to integrate immigrant and refugee students and their parents into the school and college system by:
- Increasing immigrant and refugee parental involvement in children’s education
- Removing barriers to academic achievement and involvement in after-school activities
- Facilitating communication between school officials and students and their parents
- Increasing immigrant and minority students’ sense of belonging in their schools
- Increasing awareness of different cultures represented at schools and highlighting cultural similarities
