Fort Morgan, CO 05/08/2018. Morgan Community College (MCC) is proud to announce the upcoming opening of the new Bennett Center located at 100 I-70 Frontage Road,
Bennett, CO 80102. An open house to showcase the new facility will occur Wednesday, May 23 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will occur at 12:15 p.m., with a light lunch following.
The new facility provides the Bennett Center with increased educational spaces, including classrooms and a computer lab. Classes will begin in the new facility starting summer 2018. Fall semester registration is currently open for new program offerings, including Phlebotomy Certificate; Medical Office Technologies; Media Design, Marketing and Advertising; Industrial Electrical Mechanical Maintenance; and Early Childhood Education; as well as for General Transfer courses. Other programs, including additional trades-related programs are under consideration for the new facility.
Faculty and staff will be on hand at the Open House to share about the new educational opportunities offered through the Bennett Center. Academic advising is also available by calling 303-644-4034.
“The new MCC Bennett Center is a demonstration of the College’s commitment to serving students and families on the Interstate-70 corridor,” said MCC President Dr. Curt Freed. “The College has a long history of serving those students as a part of the MCC family, and I am excited to continue to expand our cadre of amazing alumni in that region.”
“The staff at the MCC Bennett Center is really excited about the new facility,” said Director of Regional Community Outreach Faith Koetter. “We will be able to offer more options to students as we continue to expand with even more programs and faculty at the new Center.”
The public is invited to attend the open house, ribbon cutting, and lunch on May 23.
