Fort Morgan, CO 06/15/18. Morgan Community College (MCC) held its annual High School Equivalency (HSE) graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 7, 2018. The College,
along with its partners Bueno High School Equivalency Program (Bueno HEP) and MCC Workplace Education (Cargill location), hosted the event at Fort Morgan High School. Twenty-seven students representing several cities and towns from Northeast Colorado received their diplomas.
The ceremony included remarks from Morgan Community College President, Dr. Curt Freed, and Cargill Plant Manager, Tyler Luft. Both men congratulated the students on their accomplishments, emphasized the importance of being examples to those around them, and charged them with becoming forces for positive change.
The students are pursuing diverse post-graduation endeavors, with some continuing their education, others working in local industries, and several pursuing careers in the military. “These exceptional students have taken one of the most important steps in their lives,” said MCC President, Dr. Curt Freed. “This achievement opens doors of opportunity in their personal journeys, and I look forward to seeing what each of them does in the future.”
