Fort Morgan, CO. 3/12/2020. Morgan Community College (MCC) is taking preventative measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, while continuing to provide services to students and the community. These measures are in accordance with guidelines provided by Colorado Governor Polis, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, and the Colorado Community College System. MCC will extend its spring break by one week, transition to remote instruction where possible, and limit gatherings at MCC facilities to fewer than 25 attendees.
MCC’s spring break, originally scheduled for March 16 – 20, 2020, will now run March 16 – 27, 2020. This extended break will allow for additional “social distancing” to help prevent potential spread of COVID-19 and allow MCC to plan and implement options to transition to remote instruction for the remainder of the semester, wherever possible. As details about remote instruction develop, information will be available on the MCC’s website (www.MorganCC.edu), via the MCC Student Portal, and through student email.
Meetings or gatherings currently scheduled at MCC facilities expected to have more than 25 attendees will be cancelled or postponed. In the event of cancellation or postponement, MCC personnel will notify the appropriate persons and provide notification on the MCC website and social media.
