Veterans Celebration to Feature 101st Army Band

A virtual concert performed by the 101st Army Rock and Country Bands in honor of military veterans on November 11, 2020. The concert will premiere simultaneously on the 101st Army Band’s website.

Fort Morgan, CO 11/9/2019. Morgan Community College (MCC) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) announces a virtual concert performed by the 101st Army Rock and Country Bands in honor of military veterans on November 11, 2020. The concert will premiere simultaneously on the 101st Army Band’s website at www.101starmyband.com/101st-army-band-livestream and the 101st Army Band’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/101starmyband. The concert will begin at 7 PM.

The 101st Army Rock and Country Bands are components of the 101st Army Concert Band, a unit of the Colorado Army National Guard that provides ceremonial music and musical entertainment on behalf of the state of Colorado and the United States Army. The musicians play a mix of genres including patriotic, jazz, popular, country, classic rock, and Dixieland music. The 101st Army Concert Band has been featured at the Army-Wide Bandleader’s Conference, the Colorado Military Ball, the Denver People’s Fair, and the Denver Independence Eve Celebration.  

“Last year, CACE brought the 101st Army Rock Band to Fort Morgan for a Veterans Day event and played to a full house,” said Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “This year, due to COVID-19, CACE is assuring that the entire community can enjoy music by the 101st Army Rock and Country Bands from the safety of their homes during this live-stream event.”
