Fort Morgan, CO 4/8/2021.  Morgan Community College (MCC) announces Roberta Bigalk as the new Director of Development and the MCC Foundation.

Roberta Bigalk recently moved from Tacoma, Washington to Fort Morgan. She has over thirty years of experience in management and philanthropic efforts. Most recently, she served as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Virginia Mason Memorial Compass Care Hospice. Bigalk holds a Bachelor of Science in Organization and Mass Communications from Eastern Washington University.

Ms. Bigalk’s background includes working as the Foundation Director for the Stevens Memorial Hospital in Washington. In this role she developed community relationships and coordinated fundraising events, including golf tournaments and galas, to raise over one million dollars annually. Bigalk also spent over ten years with the American Cancer Society, where she raised over half a million dollars yearly to support camps for children with cancer.

“Roberta is a great addition to the MCC and MCC Foundation teams,” stated MCC President, Dr. Curt Freed. “Her experience working with foundations and resource development is a great fit for helping support the growth expected at the college in the coming years.  She is eager to know the community and will be a great resource to many.”
