Sofia was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Growing up, her parents always stressed the importance of having an education and giving back to your community.

She holds a bachelor’s of arts in political science from Colorado State University. As a first-generation graduate, she is passionate about helping first-generation students pursue their educational goals.
