Program Approval Process
Each
new educational program must go through a program approval process to
ensure the educational quality and fiscal responsibility of the
program. Similarly, existing and ongoing programs have a

Each of MCC's CTE Programs has to be approved
by CCCS.

Prosser, Charles A.
Charles
Prosser was one of the proponents of the Smith-Hughes Act of 1925,
which created federal funding for career and technical education (then
called vocational education). He also authored "Prosser's
sixteen Theorems on Vocational Education" which laid out
several principals for effective vocational education.
PSEO
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act. A
program to allow high school students to earn
college credit while completing their high school education. Link (opens new window).
The PSEO act has been replaced by other legislation. The
2011-2012 school term is the final year for students to participate in
the PSEO program; students may earn college credit under the Ascent and
Concurrent enrollment programs.
