The High School Equivalency Diplomas are widely accepted as a basis for awarding high school equivalency credentials. The credentials issued on the basis of GED test scores are generally considered to satisfy high school graduation requirements for purposes of employment, promotion, and licensing. For admission purposes most colleges and universities accept GED scores in a place of a completed high school transcript.

The GED test is administered in both English and Spanish. Special editions of the test and special testing accommodations are available for candidates with documented physical and learning disabilities. Special testing accommodations must be granted by CDE. Forms are available at the Testing Center.

Applicants must have a Colorado mailing address and not be enrolled in an accredited high school.

Appointments must be made prior to testing sessions by calling Fort Morgan at 970-542-3188, Burlington at 719-346-9300, and Limon at 719-775-8873.
