What Happens After You Apply
Watch your inbox and mailbox for updates
- Check your email for a “welcome email” with important next steps.
- Look for your welcome packet in the mail with helpful information.
- Access your student information – inside the welcome packet you’ll find your Student Identification Number (S#), login details, and the name of your assigned advisor.
You can also find your advisor to set up an appointment before receiving your packet.
Meet with an Advisor (Required)
Getting started is easier with support! All new MCC students will meet with an advisor before registering for classes. Your advisor is here to help you feel confident and ready for your first semester.
During your appointment, you will:
- Get help choosing the right classes
- Learn how registration works
- Ask questions and plan your path
You must meet with an advisor before you can register for classes!
Apply for Financial Aid
Applying for financial aid can help make college more affordable. We encourage all students to apply, even if you’re unsure if you qualify.
- Complete the FAFSA or CASFA
- Explore aid options like grants and scholarships
