The scholarship will be awarded annually to one MCC student who is pursuing a certificate or degree in an agriculture or business program. The recipient selection will be based on academic achievement and financial need. Preference will be given to a Morgan County Bank of Colorado account holder or a close family member who is an account holder. Multiple scholarships will be awarded ranging from $1,000 to $1,500, totaling $3,000 annually.
“It is really important for Bank of Colorado to work with MCC to increase awareness of and opportunities to pursue CTE (trades),” stated Cameron Armagost, Branch President of Bank of Colorado, Fort Morgan Branch. “We see a lot of business owners who need skilled workers to ensure a succession plan for the future of their business. Without these workers, business owners feel the stress and strain as they near retirement and are concerned about the impact it will have on the local economy.”
