Linda Camp-Johnson Endowment Scholarship Established with Morgan Community College Foundation

The funds from Camp-Johnson’s endowment will provide many students interested in trades fields the opportunity to pursue their educational goals.

The Morgan Community College (MCC) Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the endowed Camp-Johnson Scholarship. The endowment was created in memory of Linda Camp-Johnson, a supporter of Morgan Community College. The endowment will fund annual scholarships of $1,500 for selected MCC students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, including Automotive Service Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Precision Agriculture, Welding, Construction Trades, and Agriculture/Business Management.

Linda Camp-Johnson was a long-time Fort Morgan resident and a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, earning a degree in Library Science. She tended bar at many local establishments over the years and loved to drive around in her purple Dodge Charger with over 350 hp.  Her late husband, Dave, restored vintage stoves and manufactured parts in their foundry.  The funds from Camp-Johnson’s endowment will provide many students interested in trades fields the opportunity to pursue their educational goals.

“We are thrilled to receive these funds that will benefit many MCC students enrolled in CTE programs, now and in the future,” stated Susan Clough, Director of Development for the MCC Foundation.

The Linda Camp-Johnson Scholarship will be awarded starting in Fall 2024. Students interested in applying can visit www.morgancc.edu/foundation/scholarships-endowments/.

“It is a special honor to see students benefit from the care and generosity of Linda Camp-Johnson,” said Dr. Curt Freed, President of MCC.  “The passion Linda and her husband shared for helping to develop people with skilled trades training will go a long way to help students ‘Imagine, Believe, and Achieve’ their dreams through MCC.”
