The Morgan Community College (MCC) Foundation hosted its annual Donor/Scholar Luncheon on Monday, October 20, 2025, at MCC’s Fort Morgan campus. The event recognized the generosity of donors who make scholarships possible and provided an opportunity for student recipients to personally thank those who support their education.
The luncheon celebrated the vital role that scholarships play in helping students achieve their academic and career goals. Donors and students shared stories, built connections, and reflected on the lasting impact of the generosity of the donors in the MCC community.
“This event is one of the most meaningful gatherings we host each year,” said MCC Executive Director of Development, MaKyle Mares. “It brings together those who give and those who benefit, reminding us that behind every scholarship is a student whose future is being changed for the better.”
Throughout the luncheon, students expressed their gratitude to donors for investing in their success. Many shared how scholarships have eased financial burdens and allowed them to focus on their studies and personal growth. MCC students and scholarship recipients, Concepcion Ochoa and Tonya Dory, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the generosity of donors and the positive impact the financial support has had on their lives.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, the MCC Foundation awarded $258,977 in scholarships to 342 students. This remarkable achievement was made possible through the generous support of individual donors, businesses, and community partners.
The MCC Foundation continues to build opportunities that strengthen the college’s mission and ensure access to quality education for students.
