Enrolling Now for Adult Basic Education Classes at MCC

Fort Morgan, CO 8/5/2021. Morgan Community College (MCC) is now enrolling for General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Fall classes begin August 23, 2021. Students can register at www.MorganCC.edu/AdultEd.

Classes will be delivered in Hyflex or virtual-only formats. The Hyflex option allows students the flexibility to attend class in-person, located in Cedar Hall on the Fort Morgan campus (920 Barlow Road), and/or virtually by logging in to Zoom. The virtual-only option makes classes available to students to attend using Zoom at the scheduled time from their location of choice.

“We are excited to offer the GED/ESL program once again so that we might help students reach their personal and professional goals,” said Kseniya Walcott, MCC Student Retention and Basic Skills Specialist. “We have restructured the program with flexible class options to meet students where they are in life. The intent is to offer classes that work with busy schedules. I look forward to supporting our students!”

GED courses will prepare students to take the General Education Development Test, demonstrating proficiency in English, Social Studies, Math and Science. The cost for an 8-week session covering two topics is $100. The fall session runs August 23-October 15, 2021.
