The Andrew Busch exhibit will showcase a collection of captivating impressionist landscape paintings, depicting various Front Range sites October 5 - November 9, 2023.

The Morgan Community College (MCC) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) is proud to announce an exclusive art exhibit featuring the works of Andrew Busch. The exhibit will showcase a collection of captivating impressionist landscape paintings, depicting various Front Range sites. The art display will run October 5 through November 9, 2023, at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, 300 Main Street, Fort Morgan.  Admission is free.

Andrew Busch is recognized for his extraordinary talent in capturing the essence and beauty of natural landscapes through his painting. With a strong eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the vibrant colors and textures found in nature, Busch’s artwork truly comes to life on canvas. Visitors to the exhibit will have the opportunity to explore Busch’s collection, which showcase majestic mountains, serene lakes and rivers, and sandstone rock formations. Each painting offers a unique perspective on the region’s natural wonders.

Busch focuses on layering and mark-making, using palette knives, paint scrapers, mason trowels, sticks, his hands, and sometimes brushes. “When I hike or paint in nature, I don’t feel anxious or find myself worrying about everything I should be doing,” said Busch. “I feel whole and that is what I want to invite the viewer into – that same sense of belonging.”

To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, an artist’s reception will be held on October 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art. This event offers art enthusiasts  the chance to meet Andrew Busch in person, gain insights into his creative process, and engage in discussions about his artwork.

“CACE is committed to fostering appreciation for the arts and providing a platform for talented artists like Andrew to share their creations with the community,” stated Suzanna Spears, MCC CACE Coordinator. “The reception for Andrew promises to be an enriching experience, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the world of impressionist landscape painting.”
