MCC CACE Presents the Boulder International Film Festival

Enjoy an extraordinary lineup with MCC CACE Boulder International Film Festival’s screenings on October 12.

The Morgan Community College (MCC) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) is pleased to announce the annual Boulder International Film Festival on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The free event will take place at the Historic Sands Theater located in downtown Brush!, at 211 Clayton Street. The evening’s discussion will be facilitated by MCC’s own film critic, Ewan Magie.

As part of this cinematic experience, attendees will have the opportunity to view a selection of remarkable short films, some of which have been nominated for prestigious Academy Awards. This extraordinary lineup promises to captivate the audience. Included among the Festival’s screenings is the 2023 Academy Award nominee, “An Irish Goodbye.” In this funny and touching short film, Turlough and his brother with Down Syndrome, Lorcan, reunite following their mother’s death. When the pair discover an unfulfilled bucket list belonging to their late mum, their pained reunion takes an altogether different course.

“We are excited to showcase this extraordinary collection of short films at the MCC CACE Boulder International Film Festival,” said MCC CACE Coordinator, Suzanna Spears. “We are thrilled to offer our audience the opportunity to experience them at the Historic Sands Theater on the big screen.”

MCC CACE offers many free enrichment opportunities throughout the year. For more information about CACE events, contact CACE Coordinator Suzanna Spears at (970) 542-3180 or [email protected]. Additional information about CACE is available at www.morgancc.edu./CACE.
