MCC CACE “Best of the Best” Student Art Exhibit Awards

"We celebrated the reveal of the People's Choice Award winner and had the opportunity to honor the incredible young artists featured in this competition."

Morgan Community College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) concluded the 2024 Best of the Best student art exhibit March 21 with an awards ceremony celebrating four juried awards and the People’s Choice Award. Participating schools this year were Brush High School, Lincoln High School, Fort Morgan High School, Fort Morgan Middle School, Wiggins High School, Wiggins Middle School, and Morgan Community College.

Winning first place in the middle school category was Ausha Worth from Fort Morgan Middle School. Adrienne Kelly from Fort Morgan High School received first place in the high school group. First place among college students was won by Madison Carbone from Morgan Community College. Oscar Meza Macias from Fort Morgan High School won Best of Show. Awards were provided by an anonymous donor.

The People’s Choice Award was revealed at the Awards Ceremony on March 21st, held at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art on 300 Main Street in Fort Morgan. The event included a reception honoring the artists and art teachers. Jessica Hergert from Brush High School was the recipient of the People’s Choice Award.

“It gave me great pleasure to announce the winners of this year’s ‘Best of the Best’ student art show, a showcase that highlights the remarkable talent spanning middle school, high school, and college students,” said Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “We celebrated the reveal of the People’s Choice Award winner and had the opportunity to honor the incredible young artists featured in this competition.”
