A.A.S. Degree in Business with an Accounting Emphasis

This Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is great if you want a deeper understanding of accounting and business. It prepares you for a wide range of jobs or to continue your education later.

30-Credit Hour Certificate

Looking to start working sooner? Our certificate program can help you land an entry-level job in accounting quickly. Plus, all certificate classes count toward the A.A.S. degree if you decide to keep going.

Meet the Faculty

MCC staff member Leah Thomas

Faculty

Leah Thomas

Leah joined MCC as a faculty member in 2019. Before becoming full-time Business faculty, she managed MCC’s ABM program, aiding local rural businesses in financial management and planning for sustainable growth. Previously, she was an Agriculture Education teacher in secondary education, where she developed a passion for teaching.

Leah has extensive business experience from her family’s businesses and supervising multiple Starbucks stores across the Front Range. She excels in employee training, development, and driving operational and financial success. Leah holds an MBA from Western Governors University and has completed CPA prep courses to support her students’ career goals. She enjoys seeing her students thrive academically and professionally.

Leah lives in Fort Morgan with her husband and two children and loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
