Explore the Human Mind with Psychology at MCC
Are you curious about how people think, feel, and act? Do you want to understand what drives behavior and emotions? Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior—and it’s a great place to start if you’re interested in helping people, solving problems, or learning how the brain works.
At Morgan Community College, you can choose between two Psychology transfer degrees that let you complete the first two years of your bachelor’s degree before transferring to a university:
- Associate of Arts (AA) in Psychology
- Associate of Science (AS) in Psychology
Both programs explore human behavior, how the mind works, and mental health. You’ll learn about personality, emotions, motivation, and relationships—and take courses that are accepted at all public four-year colleges in Colorado.
Why Study Psychology?
Psychology helps us understand ourselves and others. It’s the foundation for many careers that help people live healthier, happier lives. Whether you want to work in a school, hospital, business, or lab, psychology gives you the tools to make a difference.
What is a Transfer Degree?
A transfer degree from Morgan Community College is a smart way to begin your college journey. You’ll complete your first two years at MCC, where classes are smaller and more affordable. Then, you can transfer to a four-year public university in Colorado to finish your bachelor’s degree.
These degrees are called Degrees with Designation (DwDs). That means they’re set up to match the program you plan to transfer into, depending on the university you choose.
To make sure you're on the right path, it's very important to talk with an advisor early. They’ll help you choose the right courses based on your transfer goals.
