Explore Economics at MCC

Learn how money, choices, and markets shape the world around you. At MCC, our Associate of Arts in Economics helps you build a strong start for a career or transfer to a 4-year university.

Why Choose Economics at MCC?

Our program connects real-world issues with classroom learning. You’ll explore how prices are set, how jobs change, and how government decisions affect people’s lives. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your problem-solving and data analysis skills—tools that are useful in any career.

What You’ll Learn

  • Basic economic concepts
  • Supply and demand
  • The government’s role in the economy
  • How to read economic data
  • How global markets impact your community

What is a Transfer Degree?

A transfer degree from Morgan Community College is a smart way to begin your college journey. You’ll complete your first two years at MCC, where classes are smaller and more affordable. Then, you can transfer to a four-year public university in Colorado to finish your bachelor’s degree.

These degrees are called Degrees with Designation (DwDs). That means they’re set up to match the program you plan to transfer into, depending on the university you choose.

To make sure you're on the right path, it's very important to talk with an advisor early. They’ll help you choose the right courses based on your transfer goals.
